KS 1 Commonwealth Games Athletics Festival

The pupils in EYFS and KS1 had lots of fun and enjoyed a range of multiskills athletics activities at our Commonwealth Games festival last Friday.  The pupils in Year 6 created and delivered an athletics themed activity for all the pupils to take part in and pupils were encouraged to try and beat their own score and work as part of a team. All the pupils were placed in teams represented by a commonwealth games country and we discussed the upcoming games and which countries would be takin g part and what sports they would be competing in.

A massive thank you to all my sports leaders for being amazing and inspiring role models to the younger members of the school. Despite the sweltering heat there were lots of smiles and good team spirit amongst all the pupils who took part!
