Sports camp trials

Yasmine, 2 Dec 2017

On Friday 1st December Maggie took me to the trials while Tory took Romily and Mark took Gracie .

We arrived at HRS at about 3:40 so we hung around for 10 minutes while Nick set up. We were all sorted into groups 1, 2and 3 Maggie and I were in group 1, soon came Gracie and Romily who were a bit late. Once we were all ready we stared all at different places group 1 started at  speed bounce I think but we had to bounce the tennis ball against a wall and catch it in the other had we only had 20 seconds to do this I got 13 and I think Maggie got 12. Next was standing long jump, I got 2 meters and 2cm and Maggie go 1 meter and 60 cm. After, we had standing vertical jump and  I got 27 cm and Maggie got 31 cm but we got three tries and the lady measured my second lowest because my other one went under the sheet and she didn't see but its ok. Then we had a sprint race where you start on your stomach and have to run to one cone then an other then zig zag through cones and out to a cone and to the finish line I got19.87 and Maggie got 21.25 . Now we had hurdles, where we had to jump over then back for 20 seconds - I got 48 on both tries and Maggie got 44 and 40 something.  We quickly got a break and went onto a 12 minute cooper run and Maggie got 27 and one quarter but the one quarter won`t count because you have to get 1 or a half and I got 27 because there were 5 seconds left and that wouldn`t of mattered if I got any further because I wouldn`t have got to half a lap.
