Weekly sports update

Mr Le Masurier, 10 Feb 2018

A brief summary of the past two week's sporting achievements.

The past two weeks has seen two events take place on top of the usual school based sporting activities that occur weekly.

On Saturday 3rd February, 6 Children from Stebbing Primary School tackled the Great Notley Park Run in extremely cold conditions. All of the children ran superbly as you will have seen from the Class Dojo updates. I look forward to seeing more children and parents at the next event on Saturday 3rd March.

Thursday saw the third gifted and talented session with the invited children taking part in a range of activities based around tennis. The session culminated in a small tournament to demonstrate the skills that they developed throughout the session.

Today, our year 5 and 6 hockey squad (+ Rafae and Brandon) took park in the Dunmow family hockey competition at Felsted Independent school. This event was used as a warm up for next month's competition where we take on schools from the Uttlesford area. The children competed superbly in what was their first hockey competition for some of them.

See you all after the week off where we will be squeezing in 16 competitions in just 6 weeks on top of the tennis and hockey inter-house competitions that will be taking place.

Stebbing Primary School

At Stebbing we offer children a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where they can grow and develop to fulfill their potential through a creative and fun learning journey. We encourage children to take ownership of their learning by providing engaging opportunities and equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to face the challenges beyond primary school.
