Parish take the spoils against rivals Scotter

In their penultimate 7 a side league football match Parish played hosts to Scotter knowing that this was the biggest game of the season! After Scotter beat Parish 3-2 in the final minute of the game in October at Scotter's home game it was all to play for. Exactly like last time it was Parish who steamed into an early lead and were 2-0 up before Scoytter knew what was happening! At this point Parish just took their foot off the accelerator and Scotter seized their chance to get a goal back to make it 2-1. Half time came and went and neither side could find anymore goals. Scotter knew a draw would be a better result for them and Parish were panicing that Scotter would score..however Parish went for broke and scored 3 more goals in the last two minutes! The game finished 5-1, the score line flattered Parish but they weren't complaining! Three more points and they extended their lead over Scotter at the top of the league. A great result after the disappointment of the Midlands Finals last week.
