Table Cricket Festival

On 7th December 9 students attended a Table Cricket Festival organised by Vivacity at Hampton Leisure Centre in Peterborough.

It was a short trip from school to Hampton to take part in the Table Cricket Festival.  Teams from other schools and adult opportunity centres also took part. 

Three students joined three students from The Beeches school to make a team and they worked well as a team communicating well with their new teammates and fostering a real team spirit.

Both teams played well and developed their tactics and batting skills as the tournament progressed.  They played 6 games and had mixed success winning some and loosing some.  The Phoenix team were triumphant over their friends in the mixed team i that head to head.

We didn't win the tournament, placing 4th and 5th but all the students came away with medals that they are extremely proud of.
