Y4 Football League Round 1 Competition
Football League
Our Year 4 football team headed over to Tewkesbury School for the first part of their Tewkesbury Football League. They played a total of 4 matches against 4 other Tewkesbury teams, in which they drew 1-1 against Ashchurch unfortunately with an own goal from one of their players, lost 1-0 against Twyning and lost 1-0 to Tewkesbury C of E Primary School. They stormed to victory in their game against Gretton, which included a fantastic goal from George T after a penalty shot!
The team worked extremely well together, showing support and teamwork. The team particularly thought Keira, our only girl on the team, played extremely well. They said, "Keira tried really hard to think about where to pass the ball and she was a great team player". Oscar also impressed the team, as he showed great determination and an excellent positive attitude.
Congratulations to Oliver received a School Games band for determination. A great reward for an excellent captain! Also, congratulations to George R, who received his very first School Games band from the event. He is super proud of his achievement, as we can see. He has been wearing his band all week! Well done boys!
