Year 2 Multi-Skills Festival
Year 2 Multi-skills
Year 2 ventured to Cheltenham College this week for an exciting adventure!
The children were extremely excited to attend the Year 2 Multi-Skills events in Cheltenham and they have been talking about it non-stop at school. They clearly had a wonderful time!
During the festival, the children were divided into 11 groups with a mixture of other children from different schools. A great way to help the children with their communication and social skills. It was lovely to see them interacting with their new friends.
They then enjoyed 11 different stations, set up to develop a variety of fundamental skills. The stations included: hopping, balancing, sliding, crawling, co-ordination, using a range of different body parts.
Some of their favourite challenges included balancing a tennis ball on a racket, jumping through hoops, ball control and co-ordination drills using a ball.
The staff who attended the event were amazed at how focused and determined the children were. They were truly engaged, challenged and they had a fantastic time.
At the end of what was a lovely, eventful morning, many of the children were awarded School Games bands for their attitudes and efforts. Congratulations to the following children for their School Games Bands:
Hunter (Passion)
George (Teamwork)
Hannah (Respect)
Lacie (Determination)
Beau (Self-belief)
Maisie (Respect)
Alfie (Honesty)
Olivia (Honesty)

Wow! We are so proud that so many of our KS1 children are demonstrating the School Games values.
Thank you to all of the staff who attended the event. We could not do these wonderful things without you!
