Yr 5/6 Boys Best Football Tournament 6.11.19

Miss Letchford, 14 Nov 2019

On Wednesday 6th November, Unicorn entered a team in the Bromley Year 5/6 Boys Football Tournament at Kent County Cricket Ground. The team consisted of 10 boys from Year 5 and 6: Harry, Freddie, Joshua, Kenan, Lucas, Max, Rocco, Felix, Jude and Jas.

Mr Harrison, who accompanied the team described the day as a ‘rollercoaster of emotions’!  The morning got off to a great start with the team winning their first match against St Marks and another match against St Nicholas. However, as the morning went on, the Unicorn team lost two matches against Keston and St James.  In the final match of the morning, Unicorn managed a draw against Worsley Bridge which was enough to secure the team a place in the cup final in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, a further five matches were played and Unicorn was up against some tough competition. The boys continued to do their best with Felix showing resilience in goal and Rocco giving it his all in defence.  Congratulations to the team who achieved joint 5th place overall out of 18 Bromley schools who competed.
