Year 5/6 Girls Cricket

Lara, Ava and Seren, 14 Jun 2024

On the 13th of June 2024, a group of Year 5 and 6 girls went to Golden Hill to compete in a cricket tournament.

Year 5/6 Girls Cricket

We batted in pairs. The duos were Sophia & Lara, Ava & Amelie & Seren & Hattie.

We first played St Bons and they batted the ball into the boundary multiple times. They had a strong team and beat us by 8 runs. Sadly, we lost our first game but we were ready for our next match.

For our next match, we played Mangotsfield B team. At first sight, we knew they were going to be a tough team. They won the coin toss and chose to bowl first. First to bat for our team was Sophia and Ava and they got a good total of 6 runs. Next up to bat was Amelie and Lara and their total was an awesome 10 runs. Finally to bat was Seren and Hattie. 3 balls in and Hattie scored a whopping 6 runs and that left us with a great 30-run lead. Thankfully, with some great bowling and some excellent fielding, we managed to keep their score down and we beat them by 15 runs.

Overall, we had a great morning and played some lovely cricket. THANK YOU TO MR BANKS FOR COACHING US!!!!!
