Year 3/4 Hockey Tournament

Well done to the Year 3/4 hockey team that finished 3rd in the hockey tournament last week at Shobnall.

Wow!!

This team did not concede a goal throughout the group stages of the competition which put us through to the Semi-finals. We played Shobnall, who were fantastic and at the end of the game it finished 1-1 which meant one thing... Penalties.

The team stepped up, and Freya (our goal keeper) was incredible. We took 5 penalties each and at the end of that we were still drawing so we had to go to sudden death. 

Unfornately for us, Shobnall scored a cracking goal which meant they were through to the finals.

Well done to Team William Shrewsbury who showed great sportsmanship throughout and were great sports cheering on both teams in the final.
