Football match

Match report vs Foxyards – 08/03/18

On Thursday 8th March, our Year 5/6 football team played a home fixture against Foxyards Primary School. In the first half, we had to dig deep and defend, as Foxyards came on strong. They looked the dominant side, although Martin and the defence worked hard to keep them at bay.

Early into the second half, Foxyards went 4-1 ahead. Our heads were starting to drop and the weather was closing in. However, we remained composed and began to fight our way back into the match. Precious was able to find his form in front of goal, and some of the link up play between our attacking players, such as Lewis and Richie, was proving successful. Unfortunately, however, the clock was against us. By the final whistle, we managed to reduce the deficit to two goals, but we’d left ourselves too much to do.
