Here you can find a summary of updates from National Governing Bodies of Sport and Partners for February 2021 as found in the February School Games newsletter.

American Football

To celebrate Super Bowl 55 we have created 4 fitness challenges for your students to take part in. During a time which young people are unable to take part in most sports we felt it was important to offer a virtual activity to keep young people active during this time.

We have been working closely with the next generation of athletes at the NFL Academy to produce a series of fitness challenges that can be completed from home with little to no equipment required. The challenges will be hosted on our website via the link below and updated weekly.

  • Monday 8 February
  • Monday 22 February
  • Monday 1 March

NFL Flag is a non-contact version of American Football which is played in schools across the UK. As part of our NFL Flag programme, alongside the sport itself we also have a key focus on character development focusing on the NFL core values of Respect, Integrity, Resilience and Responsibility to team. This is also something we have incorporated into our challenge videos to help young people consider these key themes in their day to day life during these challenging times.
