#take10 campaign

In June 2018 the School Games launched its #take10 social media campaign to encourage young people to take a short 10 minute break from the pressures of work and revision for the good of their physical and mental health.

The campaign included ideas such as:  

Stress Busting: Mindfulness and beginners’ yoga

  • Sun Salutations
  • Warrior Sequence
  • Yoga at your desk

Productivity: Quick HIIT exercise to get their blood pumping when they’ve hit a wall with their work

  • Mountain Climber Variations
  • Various hit movements with no equipment needed
  • Single Arm Burpees

Focus: Strength based exercises to help focus their minds before starting revision 

  • Incline / Decline Press Ups
  • Step ups in time to music 
  • Parkour for beginners

Study Buddy: Partner exercises they can do with a friend

  • Press Ups / Sit Ups in pairs – high fiving your partner
  • Partner plank hockey
  • Reaction games
