#take10 campaign
In June 2018 the School Games launched its #take10 social media campaign to encourage young people to take a short 10 minute break from the pressures of work and revision for the good of their physical and mental health.
The campaign included ideas such as:
Stress Busting: Mindfulness and beginners’ yoga
- Sun Salutations
- Warrior Sequence
- Yoga at your desk
Productivity: Quick HIIT exercise to get their blood pumping when they’ve hit a wall with their work
- Mountain
Climber Variations
- Various
hit movements with no equipment needed
- Single
Arm Burpees
Focus: Strength based exercises to help focus their minds before starting revision
- Incline / Decline Press Ups
- Step ups in time to music
- Parkour for
beginners
Study Buddy: Partner exercises they can do with a friend
- Press Ups / Sit Ups in pairs –
high fiving your partner
- Partner plank hockey
- Reaction games
