- 10 Secondary Schools
- 5 Through Schools
- 54 Primary Schools
- 2 Colleges
- 4 Specialist Schools & Alternative Provision Sites
We work in partnership with a number of organisations, in particular the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and the Youth Sports Trust. We also aim to work with all key local, regional and national organisations along with local sport clubs to provide the best possible PE, School Sport and Physical Activity offer for the young people across Leeds North East.
The SSP is committed to supporting all schools to deliver:
- High Quality PE throughout their school curriculum
- School sports events, competitions and festivals across all school ages and ability ranges.
- Physical Activity opportunities within curriculum time, extra curricular times and out of school settings
In LEEDS, there are 5 School Sports Partnership (SSPs) - Known under LEEDS SSPs. All of which works closely together to ensure an improved PE & Sport experience for everybody. We firmly believe that sport and all it encompasses truly can change the lives of young people and can contribute towards raising aspirations, improving academic attainment and preparing young people to move forward in their lives. Building on the success of London 2012 we aim to inspire a generation of young people to become engaged in sport and lead healthy active lifestyles.
