I am pleased to announce that the Lincoln & Gainsborough area will be an FA Girls Football Partnership for the year  2020-2021.

The FA Girls Partnership main vision is: For Every Girl to have equal access to Football in School by 2024

By working with this partnership you are one step closer to helping the FA achieve this goal.

This is an exciting opportunity for the whole area, as it will open doors for your school to attend online training, access free resources through the Girls in Football Website and also be sent lots of different equipment for your schools!

Girls in Football Website

This is the main website for the hub that explains all about the programme and everything you can access through the website and being part of the Hub. As part of the website, you can sign up as a school to access all the resources and to make a pledge that your school are going to help work towards that vision.

To access the website please visit www.girlsfootballinschools.org

On behalf of the School Sport Partnership of Lincolnshire, I would like to share with you the Lincolnshire Schools Active Travel Award. This award has been put together to help schools promote the School Sport & Activity Action Plan set out by the government, to ensure that children and young people have access to at least 60 minutes of sport and physical activity per day, with a recommendation of 30 minutes of this delivered during the school day (in line with the Chief Medical Officers guidelines). The award requires school pupils to regularly travel to or from school in an active way. This could be walking, cycling or scooting and can also include those that that usually travel by car by promoting a safe place for them to park and stroll / ride to school. A minimum of one month’s engagement is required with schools participating at a time of their choosing at any point of the academic year. The longer the engagement and more children participating (percentage of pupils at school) the higher the Active Travel Award that the school will receive.

Can we embed a lifelong habit of daily physical activity into the children and young people?

For more information on this, please read through the attached or drop me an email. I have all of the things that you will require to participate in this award, that will be taking place across the whole of Lincolnshire.

ACTIVE BATTLESHIPS CHALLENGE (FEBRUARY HALF TERM)

Using the rules to the classic game of battleships I have created an active way to play this game against your family and friends. It would be great to have as many people participate in this challenge across the February half term.  Why not challenge your family and friends to a game and play live over Zoom or Facetime.

More rules and a score card can be downloaded from the files section on this page.
