Keeping Bucks & MK Active during Lockdown

Playwaze

We have been working behind the scenes as a County to launch a new space for all of our virtual activities for now and the future, so would encourage PE leads to get signed up and have a go at navigating the site.  As we enter lockdown 3.0 the Bucks & MK School Games team in partnership with Leap are bringing you a new and easy way to get pupils engaged in physical activity at home and at school.

Via the playwaze app pupils at home or at school can enter a series of challenges.  The challenges are simple and all the information about what to do, including a short demonstration clip is contained on the app.  Pupils can enter as many challenges as they like and they can repeat challenges as many times as they like, updating their score as they go.

As a School Games team we will be uploading new challenges throughout the term.  The guide attached shows young people and parents how they can access the app via a smartphone, tablet or computer.

South Bucks SGO Area

The South Bucks SGO area and Sports Partnership is hosted by Alfriston School. Alfriston School is a special needs girl's school based in Beaconsfield. Alfriston is the Lead Inclusion School for Buckinghamshire and we believe in 'a sporting chance for every child'. We have a comprehensive calendar of School Games Inclusive competitions and festivals throughout the year and work with a number of County and community partners to bring about the best opportunities for staff and pupils in Bucks.
