Cross country

A muddy day of cross country!

It was a surprisingly bright day out at Killerton for the cross country race this week. There were a total of 6 different races for over 600 primary school children, Year 1 and 2 boys, Year 1 and 2 girls, Year 3 and 4 boys, Year 3 and 4 girls, Year 5 and 6 boys and Year 5 and girls. Haywards, St Davids, Ide, Stoke Canon, Whipton Barton Infants, Whipton Barton Juniors and Wynstream all joined us. As well as Montgomery, Ladysmith, Alphington, St Nicholas, Clyst St Mary, Broadclyst, West Clyst, St Michaels, St Leonards, St Sidwells and Ellen Tinkham as well. It was a great day with lots of perseverance and strength. Teamwork was also well shown as the children helped each other to keep pushing on – even if the mud was a bit slippery! We send a massive thank you to the Killerton team and volunteers for their time and effort, they made getting 15 coaches and 10 minibuses out of 1 car park look easy! They always go above and beyond and for that we can’t thank you enough.
