Take Part in the 2026 TCS Mini London Marathon in Schools
Schools across the UK are invited to take part in the 2026 TCS Mini London Marathon in Schools, giving pupils of all ages and abilities the chance to run, jog, walk, wheel or be guided around a two-mile course within their school setting.
Since launching in 2020, more than one million children and young people have taken on the challenge, bringing the excitement and inspiration of one of the world’s most iconic sporting events directly into schools.
In 2026, the event will run over an extended participation window, allowing schools to participate at any time between Monday 23 February and Friday 01 May.
How schools can take part
Teachers can register their school online; they will then receive access to a downloadable participation toolkit, packed with resources to help bring the challenge to life. These include:
- certificates and running bibs for participants
- finish line tape and decorations
- assembly slides and educational resources
- fundraising ideas and celebration materials
Schools can deliver the challenge as a standalone event or incorporate it into existing activities, such as The Daily Mile.
Every school that registers will also receive a free TCS Mini London Marathon in Schools trophy, helping them celebrate their pupils’ achievements and participation.
The event provides a fantastic opportunity to bring the spirit of a major sporting event into your school community, encouraging pupils to be active together while creating a shared experience across schools nationwide. Schools can register now and take part any time until 01 May 2026.
