Activity details

Netball numbers is a fast paced, competitive introduction to orienteering, based upon map reading and orientation skills. 

  • Number of participants: Pair 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through paired competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, leader, official 
  • Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is suitable for a number of pupils running simultaneously, a netball court is the suggested area to use 
  • Equipment: Map of the court, different coloured cones or controls and a stop watch
