Activity details

Score competition is an orienteering event that involves pupils visiting as many controls as possible on a map, in an allotted time. 

  • Number of participants: Pairs 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through paired competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included
  • Pupil roles: Participant, leader, official 
  • Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is large enough for pupils to run around simultaneously without the potential risk of collision, make sure the boundaries are clear 
  • Equipment: Control markers or cones, control cards and a stop watch
