Activity details
Two fun challenges for a group of pupils developing team building and communication. One challenge activity uses teamwork to ‘cross the swamp’ using paper or crates as stepping stones. The other challenge activity uses a ‘spiders web’ of string/elastic to create a mission impossible style obstacle course activity.
- Number of participants: Pair/Individual/Group
- Purpose of activity: Increase pupil’s activity levels through fun team challenges where working together is the only way to succeed.
- Including all pupils: STEP framework included.
- Pupil roles: Participant
- Space: Indoors/Outdoors. Ensure there is sufficient space to create a channel for pupils to work as a team to ‘cross the swamp’, you can make it as long or short as you wish. Challenge two, requires trees/benches/wall bars to secure string/elastic to and make a spiders web large enough to climb through.
- Equipment: sheets of paper or crates as stepping stones, string/elastic, attached to sturdy structures in the play space.
