Activity details

Scatterball rounders is a fun game that develops pupils batting and fielding skills through a modified version of the game of rounders. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, leader or official 
  • Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is suitable for a rounders pitch, including a safety area for pupils to remain in when waiting to bat 
  • Equipment: Four tennis balls or soft balls, three bats, four posts and a hoop
