KS1 Multi Sports Festival at The Grove

Ab Kettleby travelled to The Grove this morning to take part in a multi-sport activity morning with other schools across the trust.

There was a host of activities for the children to complete. They were split into teams of countries taking part in the World Cup. The sun was hot and the children contributed well in all the fun games put on. Jumping, throwing, balancing, shuttle running, obstacle courses to name but a few of the activities the children all took part in. The scores were totalled up and England ended up winning! The children all demonstrated great communication skills, resilience and enthusiasm for each activity they participated in and for the event generally.

The children listened well to instructions which were given by the year 6 pupils, who guided them through and encouraged the children throughout the event.

Biscuits and drinks were given at half time which gave the children further opportunity to mix with other schools and to connect through this fun sporting activity.

The children were polite, caring and showed great team spirit. Team work and good sportsmanship were on show throughout – the children did their school proud.
