Year 5 teams compete in School Games Hockey
Two year five teams compete in the Wakefield Schools Games Hockey Tournament at Slazengers Hockey Club
Two year five teams competed in the Wakefield Schools Games Hockey Tournament. Playing a 4-aside game of Quiksticks hockey which involves a lighter and larger ball than normal hockey, the two teams improved as the tournament went on. They had only had one previous session in which they had used wooden sticks, all previous school sessions had been with plastic hockey sticks. They quickly got better at turning the stick over and pushing the ball. Both teams had an enjoyable time and were a credit to school with their behaviour and effort.
