World Cup Dance
Cross-curricular dance workshops
As part of Sports Week 2018, each class had a dance workshop linked to a country taking part in the World Cup. The day started with an opening ceremony where the children learnt the names of the countries taking part and identifed their flags. The children then learnt a traditional dance from their country. For example, Year 5 did an Argentine tango and Year 6 did a Brazilian samba. They then performed them to the rest of the school at the closing ceremony at the end of the day.
