FINALISTS!

The Year 5 and 6 boys football team are through to the final to be held at Deepdale!

Fulwood St Peter's boys Y5/6 football team played their semi-final against Fulwood and Cadley on Wednesday night at UCLan. At half time the score was 0 - 0 after a very tight and tense 15 minutes. Within the first few minutes of the second half, Fulwood and Cadley scored to make it 1 - 0. 2 minutes from the full-time whistle, a goal kick from our star keeper Archie found its way into the net to make it 1 - 1 at the full-time whistle. 

Extra time was underway with Fulwood and Cadley making it 2 - 1 within minutes. But the boys did not give up. Pure grit, determination and teamwork the game was coming to its closing seconds. A screaming right foot from Lucas with 30 seconds to go saw the same and extra time finish at 2 - 2 meaning penalties were to decide our fate. The boys went on to win 4 - 3 on penalties!! 

The final is to be played at PNE's football stadium - Deepdale - with a date to be confirmed. 

We are so unbelievably proud of how well our boys played and how hard they worked to achieve their worthy win.
