Bee Proud Basketball

We went to the Bee Proud Basketball Festival

On Tuesday 11th February 2020 we had the chance to head to the Bee Proud Basketball festival at Great Academy Ashton and were joined by Mrs Reynolds who transformed into a basketball coach for the night with one of our 2 teams.

The point of the night, as with all festivals was to play fun, competitive games against other schools but with the focus on enjoyment and showing school games values such as determination and passion and not on simply winning and losing games..

Our A team played well in every game as they took on a team from Russell Scott and a team from Waterloo. All the games were full of great skills and played in the right spirit with Kyron sinking some excellent shots and the children having lots of game time.

Team B was with Mrs Reynolds and definetly impressed throughout with their teamwork and skills. Layton in particular played well, demonstrating excellent dribbling skills using both hands to weave his way through the opposition.

It was a fun festival and everyone seemed to really enjoy it and couldn’t wait to represent school again.
