Bee Proud Kool Curling Year 5/6

Mr Ellis, 18 Dec 2019

We travelled to Astley Sports Village to take part in a Kool Curling event.

On Tuesday 22nd October we travelled over to Astley Sports Village to take part in a Kool Curling event.

Kool Curling is a version of the winter sport played in sports halls where children use curling stones with wheels on the bottom to aim at a numbered target.

It is always a fun event where children love competing against other schools and trying a new sport.

We had two teams who were put in the same group alongside poplar street and Manchester Road as we played 4 different skill games.

One of the games was like ten pin bowling where we had to knock down as many pins as we could as a team, and both teams did superbly at this knocking down lots of pins for a strike!

Another station involved working as a team to knock down pins in a line which Greenside once again did excellently at.

The other two stations involved trying different games of Kool Curling which the children loved and did excellently at.

Player of the match was GC for super skills and concentration throughout.
