Girls Futsal Finals
We finished 3rd overall in the Manchester Finals.
On Tuesday 10th December we travelled across to the Greater Manchester Futsal Girls Championship after qualifying unbeaten from the Tameside heats, taking on 4 other teams to try to become Greater Manchester Champions and qualify for the North of England Championship.
Our first game was a tough one against Wilbraham Primary and despite some good play we didn’t get up to speed quite quick enough and lost 4-0, showing us we would have to try to work a little bit harder as a team.
Our next game was against the eventual winners who took and early lead. However we then started to play much better and scored an equaliser with only 90 seconds left. However we then switched off a little again and
conceded two quick goals to lose two-one.
Luckily we learnt our lesson, playing much ebtter and concentrating throughout to claim a great point in our 3rd game.
We followed this up with a super one-nil win in our last game to finish 3rd overall in Greater Manchester, a brilliant effort.
Player of the match was LH for some excellent saves.
