School Games Values Tag Rugby

Mr Ellis, 18 Dec 2019

We travelled to Aldwinians for another Tag Rugby competition and took home the Bronze.

On Thursday 18th of October we travelled to Aldwinians for yet another tag rugby competition after our successes in the tag rugby dates and final and the year free for festival.

This time it was another festival but with a focus on showing school games values and not just winning the games of rugby. We had two teams and despite the focus not being on just winning we had some excellent performances with children showing superb defending, taking tags and stopping people scoring tries and attacking skills with dodging and some accurate passing.

The way the events were scored was that at the end of the games we had to review our opposition against the school games values: respect passion honesty self-belief determination and teamwork.

We played three games of excellent rugby and after reviewing the

opposition and the opposition review it as it was time for the final score.

Our team in red came 6 out of 12 but even better our green team came third going home with bronze medals.

Player of the match was AS for a fantastic attitude throughout.
