Tameside Cross Country
Some children went to cross country
On a chilly Saturday morning we once again had lots of keen runners who arrived at East Cheshire Harriers ready for the Tameside Cross Country Championship.
The first race was for Under 9 Girl’s and Dara arrived just as the race was starting meaning she had to sprint up to the line to start. She produced an amazing race to finish 7th place out of 50 runners, a superb result.
In our next race we had Joseph and George in the under 9 boys. Joseph raced hard to finish in 36th place whereas George came in third place,earning a bronze medal!
In our under 11 girls Amanda battled through not feeling well to come 19th and inside the top 20 of all the girls in Tameside.
In the under 11’s boys race we had fantastic efforts from Niall, Monty, Adam and Ben but best of all was Marshall who finished second. This completed our best set of results so far.
