Year 3/4 BEE Inspired Tag Rugby
We took two teams to the Tag Rugby at Aldwinians
It was time for the first Tameside Event of the year as we travelled to Aldwinians Rugby Club in Audenshaw with a two very excited teams of year 3 and 4 children, many of whom were playing tag rugby for the first time in comeptition, and some who had never represented school before.
However thanks to some great training by Mrs Gigg in Thursday’s Tag Rugby session as well as some great tips from the coaches meant there was lots of improvements throughout the day.
We played lots of games on the day against Manchester Road, Airlies, Oasis Broadoak and also a Greenside v Greenside Game.
As it was a festival we weren’t keeping score but there was some
great play by Greenside that bodes well for the future.
As well as this each game each team had to pick a player who had done well on the other team and say why they had picked them.
All in all it was a great day out and it was brilliant to see everyone enjoy themselves so much.
Player of the match was RY for an excellent attitude.
