BISI BADMINTON TEAM FINISH 5th place

Mrs Thompson took 8 Year 3/4 children to participate in the BISI badminton festival at Theale Green Community School. The children had been working hard this term with Mrs Thompson in badminton club early on Tuesday mornings. At the festival the children had to compete in 10 different stations and were awarded points from each activity depending on well they worked. The stations included activities which helped work on their agility, coordination, control and accuracy skills related to badminton. The children were split into 2 groups of 4 - both groups worked incredible hard, showed resilience, determination and superb team work on every station and achieved some outstanding scores in many of the activities. At the end, all the scores were added up and the winners were announced. Spurcroft had finished 5th.  Well done to the following children who represented the school: Charlotte Bailey, Poppy Lancaster, Evan Alderman, Fletcher Mackie, Brandon Stacey, Archie Calloway, Samarth Manu and Diva Tiwari. Thanks to parents who helped transport children.
