Spurcroft played their 1st netball league match against Cold Ash and had a successful win

League Netball Success

Spurcroft played their first league netball match against St Marks School.

Spurcroft started the stronger of the two teams with excellent movement in the attacking third allowing Jess and Erin to score 4 goals. We continued to play well and increased our lead at half time to 6-2.

With a change of positions for St Marks they kept possession better and tested our defence but Bo and William made some excellent interceptions and tips.

The final quarter was tense with both teams wanting to score goals. Spurcroft passed the ball well through the court and made some good drives to receive the ball. We took control of the game with excellent feeding into the circle. An excellent game with all players working for each other – superb team work. The final result was 13-8 and Eva was named “Player of the Match” for her excellent play at centre.

Eva was awarded players player from the opposition for her excellent play at centre and her determination throughout the game.
