League Netball match v Kingsclere

Spurcroft played their second league netball match against Kingsclere School.

Spurcroft started the stronger of the two teams with excellent movement in the attacking third allowing Jess and Erin to score 4 goals. William and Olivia defended well and made some good interceptions. Eva worked hard throughout the court to link well between the attack and defence.

During the 2nd quarter Kingsclere had more chances and their shooters shot well to increase their goals. Both teams worked hard with Evie K and Bo moving into space and passing well. The final quarter was tense with both teams wanting to score more goals - Spurcroft passed the ball well through the court and made some good drives to receive the ball. We took control of the game with excellent feeding into the circle for Jess to shoot some fantastic goals. An excellent game with all players working for each other – superb team work. The final result was 17-6.

Eva was awarded players player from the opposition for her excellent play at centre and her many turnover balls throughout the match.

Well done to the team : Jess Argyle, Eva Fielden, William Appleby, Erin Jarvis, Evie Kernoghan, Olivia Titcombe, Evie Massey and Bo Deas.

Thank you to the parents who supported the team, cheering, scoring and timing.
