Park House Football League matches

Park House 7 a-side football league

On a cold afternoon the Spurcroft team played in a mini-league group against 4 other teams. Each game was 8mins one way and so the team needed to work hard and create chances to score goals.

We played Francis Baily 1st and we knew this would be a tough match but we started well and kept possession having a couple of chances. Jack made a good save but then Francis Baily scored from a corner and quickly after scored again.

We then faced Basildon and kept the ball in our attacking end nearly scoring – Lorena hit wide and Callum hit off the post. The final score was 0-0. Ashford Hill were our next opponents and again we had chances – Lorena hit wide and Jake hit the post. We unfortunately conceded a goal and lost 1-0. We had a break to gather ourselves and our final game we faced Springfield – straight from the start we attacked the game and tool our chances – Callum took a shot but it was at the GK, however he followed up a loose ball and scored for us to win our final game 1-0.

The results were in and Spurcroft had finished 3rd in the group. Well done to the players: Jack Gray, Teddy Mackie, Callum Little, Bobby Brown, Lorena Lopez-Catalan, Deegan Delport, Jordan Frost and Jake Jury.

Congratulations to all the players and “Man of the Match” goes to Callum Little for his determination throughout the match.
