The Year 3/4 team took part in the festival and won the event

Triumphant Tri-Golfers

Mrs Thompson chose 10 Year 3/4 children to represent the school. The children had been attending school tri-golf club. There were 11 schools altogether in the festival. The golfers took part in 8 different multi skills tri-golf events using putters and chippers to score points depending on their success at each event. All teams completed each station and worked together to achieve the best score. They showed some excellent putting skills and were resilient with their chipping skills. The children all listened well to the instructions and showed great determination and superb team work and encouragement for one another.

The children had worked hard on all the stations and achieved some good scores and waited for the results. With an amazing score of over 1000 points Spurcroft had finished in 1st place, a superb achievement and received gold medals. Congratulations to them and Mrs Thompson was very pleased. Well done to: Alfie Turley, Austin Davis, Emma Johnson, Fletcher Mackie, Joshua Kester, Brandon Stacy, Oliver Page, Dylan Young, Jem Knoesen and Maddox Akers.Thank you to the parents who helped transport and support the children at the event.
