My Table Tennis Journey

A blog post all about my journey of playing table tennis at school!

My Table Tennis Journey

My table tennis journey has been amazing, I will never forget 1 second of it! When I first started I couldn't even hit a ball, now I could hit 100 balls if I wanted! The journey wouldn't have been the same without Miss Lacy. Miss Lacy has helped me so much and I am so thankful. In table tennis there has been some ups and downs but we have sorted them out as a team.

When my name got called out (to say I was on the team) I couldn't have been happier. The only think I was thinking was my first table tennis game. In the first lesson I was terrible, everybody else could do everything but that didn't stop me. I can home every night and practiced until I was good. Then 6 weeks later, we were teachers of table tennis.

Being TTT (table tennis teacher) was lots of pressure, the Y3 kids were our responsibility. It was fun though. When we got a few weeks into it, it was competition week. The competitions were great and our winner was Chloe.

I love table tennis all thanks to Miss Lacy!

St Francis of Assisi Church of England Primary School

At St Francis we highly value and recognise the contribution of P.E, sport and physical activity to the health and well-being of our children. We aim to provide an innovative, broad and balanced PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities which has a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all children. We aim for more children to be both engaged in and enjoying, sport and physical activity in after school clubs. We have achieved the Gold School Games Mark recognising the breadth, depth and commitment to school sport and games for 3 consecutive years. A leadership programme is in place which enables pupils to take on responsibilities to engage other children in physical activity and sporting competition as well as take on various organising roles in addition to promoting what is happening within school. We have enjoyed a great deal of sporting success in the past and hope for more in the future. We aim to engage more children in competitive sport over a wider range of sports and activities in the coming years.
