Personal challenge (1) - Kick ups

Elwood, 17 Oct 2019

On Monday 14th October it was our first personal challenge. As a group we decided to have a personal kick up challenge. We decided that it would take place on a Monday for key stage 1s and Reception and on Wednesday's it would be for keys stage 2.

On Monday it was key stage 1s and Receptions turn. We let the key stage children have a go.

My job was to write their names and the scores.

Kelsey and Jirah were timing.

Theo was keeping score of how many kick ups they could do.

Mileigh and Lexie went to get more people to join in.

Ethan demonstrated.

They had 20 seconds to do as many kick ups as they could.

Ollie was the boy winner with 15.

He said " It was really fun, I enjoyed it!"

Lydia was the girl winner with 9.

She said " It was really fun, it got my legs moving!"

On Wednesday it was key stage 2s turn.

Talula was the girl winner with 21.

She said "I was really happy to win it. I didn't think that I could win!"

Aiden was the boy winner with 42.

He said, "I really enjoyed it because I was really good at it. It was very challenging"

We are looking forward to our next challenge next week!

St Gerard's RC Primary School

In 2018-19, all of the staff and pupils at St. Gerard's, including our fantastic Sports Crew, worked extremely hard to develop our PE and sport provision. We were beyond proud to have this recognised nationally by achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the second consecutive year! In 2019-20 we hope to achieve this accolade again by further strengthening our PE, School Sport and Physical Activity programme.
