Personal Challenge 2

Eden & Laila - Su - Year 5 Sports Crew, 4 Mar 2019

This week's personal challenge for KS1 and KS2 was an obstacle course.

Personal Challenge 2

On Tuesday and Thursday lunch time, the KS1 and KS2 children took part in an obstacle course.

KS1 children had to jump over hurdles one way and the KS2 children had to jump forwards and backwards over the hurdles. They both had to balance a bean bag on their head, and they needed to throw a beanbag in the hoop.

Eden and Sophie demonstrated how to do the challenge, the winners would be decided by how fast they could do it.  Laila and Justin were the timekeepers, Aidan and Oliver took some pictures for our blog and Amelia wrote down the times.

The winners each received a certificate in assembly, Eden and Laila gave them out.

KS1 winner - Lucie (Y1) and Cameron (Y2)

KS2 winner - Archie (Y3)

We interviewed the winners:

Archie said - "It was lots of fun because I liked jumping over the hurdles. It was a good feeling that I won overall"

Lucie said - "I liked where I put the beanbag on my head. I felt really happy when I got my certificate in assembly"

Cameron said - "I liked throwing the beanbag into the hoop. It made me feel really happy when I won"

Everyone had lots of fun!

St Gerard's RC Primary School

In 2018-19, all of the staff and pupils at St. Gerard's, including our fantastic Sports Crew, worked extremely hard to develop our PE and sport provision. We were beyond proud to have this recognised nationally by achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the second consecutive year! In 2019-20 we hope to achieve this accolade again by further strengthening our PE, School Sport and Physical Activity programme.
