Personal Challenge 4

Aidan and Oliver (Y5 Sports Crew), 19 Mar 2019

This week's personal challenge was a fitness course where each child had to jump in the tyres as many times as possible in 30 seconds.

Personal Challenge 4

The Sports Crew set up an area to deliver this fun challenge to KS1 (Tuesday) and KS2 (Thursday) during lunchtime. The challenge was to complete the course in as many times as possible in 30 seconds. Lots of children were queueing up, all eager to participate in this week's activity!

Oliver took photos ready for our blog and Aidan was in charge of timing the 30 seconds.  Eden, Sophie and Laila-Su were counting and Justin was recording down the results. The KS1 winner was Ollie (Y1) who said, "I really liked this personal challenge because it was lots of fun and I was very happy to win!" The KS2 champion was Olivia (Y5) who when interviewed said, "It was a really interesting challenge that was also lots of fun. I was really happy and proud to be the best!"

St Gerard's RC Primary School

In 2018-19, all of the staff and pupils at St. Gerard's, including our fantastic Sports Crew, worked extremely hard to develop our PE and sport provision. We were beyond proud to have this recognised nationally by achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the second consecutive year! In 2019-20 we hope to achieve this accolade again by further strengthening our PE, School Sport and Physical Activity programme.
