Year 3 tennis competition 13.3.19
This morning 8 Year 3 children jumped on a bus and traveled to Eston Sports Centre to take part in a tennis competition. They had been working really hard in PE so were excited to show off their skills and what they had learnt.
The children took part in different challenges.
George said: " I liked the one where we had to volley it in to the buckets"
Nancy said: " I liked the one where we had to balance it on our rackets"
The children also played some tennis matches against the other schools.
Archie said: " I just did what I practiced in PE"
Isabelle said: "It was lots of fun."
Although the children didn't come home as winners, they all had a fun and exciting morning.

In 2018-19, all of the staff and pupils at St. Gerard's, including our fantastic Sports Crew, worked extremely hard to develop our PE and sport provision. We were beyond proud to have this recognised nationally by achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the second consecutive year! In 2019-20 we hope to achieve this accolade again by further strengthening our PE, School Sport and Physical Activity programme.
