Year 3 Tennis Festival 6.3.19
On Wednesday 6th March, 25 Year 3 children jumped on the coach, eager to get to their tennis festival at The Stockton Campus of Durham University.
Once we arrived, Diane and Anne explained to us what the morning was going to entail...it sounded like so much fun!
There were 8 different mini challenges that we could take part in.
These challenges enabled us to practice the skills that we had been learning in PE, in a safe, fun environment.
Jacob said - "I had so much fun, I'm going to ask if I can go back there!"
Every child had a great time, and are now back in school ready for the afternoon's lessons!
St Gerard's RC Primary School
In 2018-19, all of the staff and pupils at St. Gerard's, including our fantastic Sports Crew, worked extremely hard to develop our PE and sport provision. We were beyond proud to have this recognised nationally by achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the second consecutive year! In 2019-20 we hope to achieve this accolade again by further strengthening our PE, School Sport and Physical Activity programme.
