Year 5/6 girls tag rugby
On the 3rd of October 2018 9 of the Year 5 and 6 girls traveled to the sports village for a tag rugby competition. The weather was windy, cloudy and dry.
We all took turns on playing and not playing on the pitch so that it was fair. In the afternoon, we got through to the plate competition to see if we could win in our league.
We tried and played really well and won our league! It felt amazing to win and it felt great to be presented with our medal and trophy in assembly.
St Gerard's RC Primary School
In 2018-19, all of the staff and pupils at St. Gerard's, including our fantastic Sports Crew, worked extremely hard to develop our PE and sport provision. We were beyond proud to have this recognised nationally by achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the second consecutive year! In 2019-20 we hope to achieve this accolade again by further strengthening our PE, School Sport and Physical Activity programme.
