Tag Rugby Tournament

Tag rugby  tournament Melton and Belvoir

On Tuesday the 17th April, schools from around Melton and Belvoir competed in a tag rugby tournament at Melton Mowbray Rugby Football Club to go through to the county championship. It was an action packed afternoon with top class tries, professional passes and terrific tagging. All of the teams played amazingly but there could only be one winner. Swallowdale, the defending champions, started the afternoon well by beating Buckminster in an extremely close contest. It all came down to a nail-biting match between Stathern and Swallowdale. The game was tied when a last minute try was scored by Swallowdale which took them to overall victory.  Buckminster came third after Stathern and Swallowdale went through to the next round.
