KS2 Cross Country Competition

Mr Banks, 6 Oct 2023

On Tuesday, 3rd October 2023, 26 KS2 children took part in the annual Cross Country at St Bedes.

KS2 Cross Country Competition

The Year 3/4 girls and boys took part in their first ever race and they did superbly. They had to run 1300m across three muddy football fields and battle with the wind too. The girls were fantastic, finishing joint fourth with Stoke Bishop whilst our boys came first (with Arthur, Rufus and Jack coming in first, third and fourth!).

Our Year 5 team performed superbly also but they had to run 1700m and do an extra lap around St Bedes rugby pitch. Both teams came fourth (with Rocco coming in first place) and represented the school perfectly!

The final race finished with the Year 6 team running 1700m. Both teams were brilliant with the girls coming third (well done to Hattie for coming first and Maddie for scraping into the top ten!) and the boys battled hard to earn fifth place.

Overall, the children were amazing. They had to overcome a lot of nerves to perform and they really pushed themselves to the limit. Well done!
