KS2 Dance Competition

Year 4 Girls, 3 Mar 2023

On Monday, 27th February 2023, our Year 3/4 dance group went to Bath Forum to participate in the Great British Dance Off!

KS2 Dance Competition

When we got to the Forum, there were lots of schools to compete against. We had to compete against Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. We all watched the practices until it was our turn.

Soon the show started and we watched all of the dances until it was our turn. We started off really well and we remembered all the strong movements and we kept our heads held high.

Then, after the break, we watched the other groups do their dance in part two and they all did really well – especially Westbury-on-Trym. We then watched lots and lots of groups and all of the group’s costumes were really bright and colourful. We saw some dances based on movies and books like Matilda and Ghostbusters.

Then it was our turn to perform and everyone cheered us on!

After our turn, we had to watch the other groups before they announced the winners. Overall, we came ninth out of thirteen and we were really proud of our dance.

Thank you to Mrs. Farndon and Mrs. Davies for coaching us and taking us.
