School Sports Update

Mr Mullen, 29 Jan 2019

School Sports Update. This blog will update you on everything that is happening or has happened within school.

We have been competing in a number of different events and Whitehouse has been very successful. We qualified through two rounds of athletics tournaments to reach the Tees Valley county finals in which the children did fantastic and came 14th in the whole county.

The footballers have achieved something that has never been achieved before in Whitehouse. Team 1 attended The Herlingshaw Centre in Eston and were fantastic! They won the tournament and qualified for the EFL North East Finals which is a great achievement. Unfortunately, the children performed excellently however were beaten on the day by some very good teams. Team 1 and team 2 are both competing in the cluster football finals next Monday at Stockton Sixth Form College. Our girls team are competing at Conyers School next Wednesday for the cluster finals.

This term there are lots of after school clubs running. On a Tuesday there is the KS1 Multi Sports Club ran by Miss Mckenzie and Mrs Fryer. On a Wednesday there is the KS2 Multi Sports Club ran by Mrs Heslop and Mrs Fryer. On a Thursday there is after school football ran by Mr Mullen, Mr Messenger and Mrs Fryer as well as an after school netball club ran by Miss Coates and Mrs Shaw.

A very busy sporting term within Whitehouse yet again!
