Start Archery Week 2023

Posted 18th April 2023

Archery GB’s Start Archery Week (06-14 May 2023) gives people the chance to try archery for the first time with events taking place at Archery GB clubs and archery providers across the country, opening their doors to anyone wanting to give the fantastic sport of archery a go!

There are no limits as to who can do archery – it is for everybody, regardless of physical ability. It also has numerous health and wellbeing benefits and is well documented as a confidence-boosting sport. Just give it a go!

Schools can sign up to organise a Start Archery Week activity by completing a registration form and will be able to access some free promotional merchandise such as stickers and certificates for participants, if signed up and ordered before the middle of April. More information about organising an Start Archery Week event is available on the Start Archery website. Even if your school hasn’t got any archery equipment, you could get involved by delivering the Arrows Traffic Signal game which could be adapted to throwing a bean bag instead of using the Arrows Kits.

If your pupils want to give archery a go at a local Archery GB club or archery provider as well, then please ask them to visit the link above to the Start Archery Week webpage.
