Activity details

Line bowl is a fun challenge, where pupils learn to roll the ball with accuracy over distance, whilst competing in a team bowls game. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, Leader, official 
  • Space: Indoors. Ensure the space is suitable to roll the ball over a smooth surface and is large enough for a number of channels to be created to play the game 
  • Equipment: One medium sized ball, one smaller ball per player, cones and tape
